Closed end means the zip does not separate at the bottom. This makes it suitable for dresses, skirts, trousers, cushions and similar projects.

Size 3 zips are lightweight and flexible, making them ideal for everyday dressmaking and general sewing projects where a discreet zip is required.

Zip length is measured from the bottom stop to the top where the teeth end, giving the usable opening length.
